If you feel like you are having a medical or life-threatening emergency, call 9-1-1.
In the event of a dental emergency, call our office at (318) 443-7208.
Our Alexandria office hours are Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM and Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM.
Our Natchitoches office hours are Wednesday, 9:00 AM–4:30 PM.
We recognize that emergencies can happen at any time, so if you call outside those hours, our answering service will put you in touch with our on-duty nurse. The nurse can help you or alert the dental surgeon if immediate treatment is required. If a tooth is knocked out, it can temporarily be placed in salt water or milk for transport to a general dentist, oral and maxillofacial surgeon, or hospital emergency room. The sooner the tooth is reinserted into the dental socket, the better chance it will survive. Therefore, the patient should see a dentist or oral surgeon as soon as possible. Never attempt to wipe the tooth off, since remnants of the ligament that hold the tooth in the jaw are attached and are vital to the success of replanting the tooth.
